Aces Wheelchair Basketball Club are based at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, Aylesbury, and currently run two senior teams, National League 3rd and 4th Division (Development League) in addition to a very successful Junior Section.
The club enjoys a strong Paralympics heritage having regularly contributing athletes that compete at the Paralympics. Members of the club have won medals at the highest level.
In 2007 Aces started a junior section to the club with just five players. It now boasts more than 20 members and runs a team in the new 13-18 year old Junior League and has recently started a ‘minis’ group to cater for under 10 year old’s.
The club trains at Stoke Mandeville Stadium every Friday night from August until June, with juniors training from 6PM to 8PM, and seniors training from 8PM to 10PM.
The club provides young people with the opportunity to develop physically, socially and emotionally, through the enjoyment of training and being part of a team and in supporting aspirations to play for their region or country.
